CYENS Centre of Excellence (formerly known as RISE) is the Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence in Cyprus focusing on Interactive media, Smart systems and Emerging technologies aiming to empower knowledge and technology transfer in the region. It is a joint venture between the three public universities of Cyprus – University of Cyprus, Cyprus University of Technology, and, Open University of Cyprus- , the Municipality of Nicosia, and two renowned international partners, the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Germany, and, the University College London, United Kingdom.

3AeHealth LTD, is a Cyprus-based SME that specializes in the design and development of cutting-edge, reliable, and interoperable solutions in the areas of eHealth, mHealth, and image and video data processing and analytics. The company was established in 2016, and was co-founded by a team of senior scientists bringing together significant expertise in developing innovative, intelligent, and citizen-centered solutions, emanating from decades of involvement in R&D projects at both a national and European level.
Specifically, the 3AeHealth team has more than 15 years of experience on eHealth and mHealth R&D, participated in more than 35 EU and national projects, and published more than 300 scientific publications.
3AeHealth’s product suite is designed around healthcare interoperability standards and EU directives for cross-system data communication and cross-border healthcare services provision, providing its clientele and business associates customized solutions. More specifically, Electronic Health Records API can be integrated with any third party eHealth application for securely sharing patient’s medical data building on IHE profiles. Electronic registry web based platform provides a central repository for the management, progress monitoring, analysis, and visualization of different diseases. epSOS Patient Summary Exchange API builds on European Patients – Smart open Services (epSOS) guidelines for cross-border and cross-platform sharing of a Patient’s Summary via National Contact Points at each EU Member State. Picture Archive and Communication System – PACS is a web based application that supports the communication of DICOM images of different modalities.

State Health Services Organisation
State Health Services Organisation is the largest Healthcare provider in Cyprus, with 9 hospitals and 38 health centers in all cities and provinces.
SHSO hospitals and health centers are available to citizens of all ages, 24 hours a day, with SHSO offering comprehensive health services that cover the full range of health needs of the population throughout Cyprus.
The Directorate of Mental Health represents one of the main pillars of the organisation and it offers specialised services through the only Mental Health Services hospital in Cyprus (Athalassa Hospital) and its various MHS structures that are located throughout the country.
The SHSO Ambulances Directorate is the connecting link between all the services offered by SHSO that covers geographically the whole of Cyprus with 24 stations and 72 ambulances.
Recognising its great responsibility to play a key role in the health sector, SHSO implements an ambitious reorganisation plan for administrative and financial autonomy, in order to better respond to the new competitive environment of the General Health System. With continuous investment in infrastructure, human resources and research, SHSO is constantly upgraded in order to improve the services it offers.

Harokopio University of Athens
Harokopio University of Athens is a public university dedicated to promoting research and learning in a small, well focused set of intellectual areas. The university, situated in the centre of Athens and close to the Unesco World Heritage Centre of the Acropolis, originates from an educational institution that was first established in 1929 and gained the status of University in 1990. It takes its name from the national benefactor Panagis Harokopos.
The University’s excellent campus facilities houses four academic departments, the central administration, the library, the IT centre and student advisory services. Harokopio University of Athens is located close to many important cultural sites of interest such as the Acropolis Museum, Thissio,Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaron), Keramikos and the Benaki Museum.
